Desiree Bascombe is a dedicated Research Officer, mediator, and clinician with a deep passion for guiding individuals and families toward growth, healing, and healthy relationships. With a Master’s degree in Mediation and Psychology, she blends research-based insight with practical mediation strategies to help clients better understand themselves and the patterns that shape their lives.

Desiree has a strong commitment to youth development, particularly in the area of conflict resolution. She is passionate about equipping young people with the skills to communicate effectively, manage disputes constructively, and make empowered decisions. Her approach is thoughtful and reflective, creating safe spaces where young persons feel heard and supported.

In addition to her work with youth, Desiree is experienced in working with couples and families. As an introverted yet versatile and family-oriented clinician, she brings warmth, attentiveness, and openness to every interaction. She helps clients identify underlying issues, recognize recurring relational patterns, and develop healthier ways of engaging through structured mediation and therapeutic techniques.

Desiree also serves as a Pastor in her church, and her faith deeply informs her approach to service and leadership. She remains committed to walking alongside her clients with compassion and integrity, accepting each person with an open heart and a steadfast dedication to their growth and healing.

Safety is managed via briefing clients of the ground rules during the each session; the use of caucus where necessary, identifying indicators where session may get to intense, taking breaks or ending the session where necessary.
