Tracie Rogers, PhD

Managing Director

Dr. Tracie Rogers is the founder and director of Wholeness and Wellness Counselling Services. She established W&W out of a deep commitment to making culturally grounded, compassionate mental health care accessible to Caribbean people and the diaspora.

In her clinical work, Tracie supports individuals navigating trauma, grief, life transitions, and relational challenges. Her approach is warm, integrative, and paced in a way that honours each client’s story and readiness.

As director, she shapes the vision and standards of the practice, building a team and environment where both clients and practitioners can thrive.

Beyond W&W, Tracie is also an artist and an academic. She lives a deliberately multifaceted professional life that makes room for both work and rest. Her leadership is grounded in the belief that healing is most meaningful when it honours who people are and where they come from.

Main Areas of Focus

  • Trauma and recovery — working with individuals navigating trauma, complex stress, and post-traumatic experiences

  • Grief and loss — supporting people through bereavement, ambiguous loss, and life transitions

  • Relational difficulties — supporting individuals in understanding and shifting patterns in their relationships

  • Life transitions — working with people at crossroads, including career, identity, and major life changes

  • Cultural and diasporic identity — supporting clients whose experiences of identity, belonging, and displacement shape their mental health

What can clients expect in sessions with you?

I work from the belief that people are the experts on their own lives. My role is to create the conditions where insight, healing, and movement can emerge.

Clients can expect a space that is warm, unhurried, and honest. I work collaboratively, and sessions are shaped around what each person brings. There is no single script for how healing unfolds.

Safety and pacing are central to everything I do. I follow the client’s lead, while remaining attentive to what both the body and the story are signalling in each moment. Healing does not need to be rushed to be real.

Who Do I Work With?

I work with adults, particularly women, who are carrying the weight of difficult experiences—whether trauma, loss, identity questions, or the quiet exhaustion of living a full and demanding life.

I am especially drawn to working with people whose stories have not always been held with care.

What Is It Like to Work With Me?

I think of the therapy space as somewhere you can set things down and look at them clearly.

I take my cues from you and bring curiosity rather than judgement to whatever you bring into the room. Clients often share that they experience me as both warm and direct, and that they feel safe enough to be honest, including with themselves.

I do not rush the process, and you do not need to arrive already knowing what you need.
